Inside the Haute Couture Formula: Why These Ingredients Are Skincare Gold

Inside the Haute Couture Formula: Why These Ingredients Are Skincare Gold

Let’s skip the fluff and dive straight into ingredients. This week, we’re peeling back the label on Haute Couture—my signature facial oil that’s anything but basic. If you’ve ever looked at a serum and thought, “Cute, but does it doanything?”... this one’s for you.

Built from cold-pressed, unrefined botanical oils, this blend is what happens when high-performance skincare meets obsessive ingredient curation aka me going full mad scientist with oils and spreadsheets. (You’ve met The Accidental Alchemist right?)

Let’s get into the Haute Couture blend: a power-packed formula born from one simple challenge—create a facial oil that hydrates, repairs, and leaves skin silkier than a satin pillowcase. Spoiler alert: mission accomplished.

The Inspiration Behind the Blend

I didn’t create Haute Couture facial oil just for the fun of playing skincare scientist (okay, maybe a little). This formula was born from a real skincare dilemma— my friend’s extremely dehydrated, unquenchable  dry skin. She wanted deep hydration, a softer, more supple texture, and a product that actually did something beyond just sitting pretty on her vanity. So, I took on the challenge, diving into the world of botanical oils to curate the ultimate luxury blend. Ladies & gents ( yes you guys too) this one’s a winner.

The Powerhouse Botanicals (And Why They Deserve the Spotlight)

Not all oils are created equal, and let’s be honest—some are just there for the aesthetic. Haute Couture is packed with cold-pressed, unrefined ingredients chosen for their ability to do the work. Let’s break it down:

Helichrysum Oil: The Skin Whisperer

This little golden flower is the skincare world's best-kept secret. Known as “Immortelle” (which, let’s be real, sounds like something straight out of a fantasy novel), it’s packed with anti-inflammatory and skin-repairing properties. Research suggests it can help with wound healing and redness reduction—exactly what sensitive and rosacea-prone skin needs. Believe it or not this ingredient was a must have for me, on a personal note, this one is dedicated to my father, yes pops, your favorite ingredient had to be in my #1 facial oil.

Grapeseed Oil: The Balancing Act

Lightweight, fast-absorbing, and rich in linoleic acid, Grapeseed oil helps refine texture, balance sebum, and deliver a solid hit of antioxidants—all without clogging pores. It’s the quiet multitasker that keeps skin in check while letting the other oils shine.

Rosehip Oil: The Vitamin C Powerhouse

If your skin is looking a little dull, this is your glow-up in a bottle. Rosehip oil is loaded with vitamin C, essential fatty acids, and antioxidants that help brighten, even out skin tone, and support collagen production. It is even shown to improve wound healing!

Sea Buckthorn Oil: The Ultimate Skin Multitasker

This tiny berry holds a ridiculously high amount of skin-loving omega-7, which helps with elasticity and hydration. If you’re dealing with sensitive skin, dryness, or just want that dewy look without slathering on layers of product, this one is a must-have.

Argan Oil: Liquid Gold for a Reason

Argan oil is like that dependable friend who always comes through. It hydrates, soothes, and helps protect against environmental stressors while being lightweight enough not to clog pores. A great addition for all skin types, but especially beneficial for aging or compromised skin.

Camellia Oil: The Silky Skin Savior

Treasured by geishas for centuries, Camellia oil is packed with antioxidants, omegas, and vitamins that deeply nourish and soften the skin. Lightweight yet intensely moisturizing, it absorbs like a dream, leaving your skin flower petal smooth—because who doesn’t want that effortlessly radiant glow?

Babchi Oil: Nature’s Alternative to Retinol

Babchi oil is a natural source of bakuchiol, often compared to retinol without the irritation. It helps with fine lines, skin texture, and elasticity while being gentle enough for sensitive skin.  While adding cosmetic-grade bakuchiol at a low percentage is an option i’m exploring for Haute couture, Babchi oil itself offers a host of skin-loving benefits beyond just its bakuchiol content.

Roselle Hibiscus Oil: The Natural Exfoliator

Often called the “Botox plant” (don’t worry, no needles involved), Roselle Hibiscus is rich in natural AHAs, which gently exfoliate the skin while boosting hydration. It’s the secret to that fresh, baby-soft complexion.

Carrot Seed Oil: The Unsung Hero for Skin Protection

Carrot seed oil is packed with antioxidants and has been studied for its potential to help with UV damage and skin regeneration. It’s basically a skin superfood, helping to keep things firm, smooth, and resilient.

Why These Ingredients Matter

Every oil in Haute Couture was chosen with intention—not just for fancy labels, but because they work together to hydrate, nourish, and support your skin’s natural barrier. No fillers, no fads—just pure, high-performance ingredients designed to work in harmony with your skin.

I love that you’re being transparent with your ingredients! So many times there I stumbled on “natural products” that have more fillers and toxic additives than that 1 highlighted advertised good ingredient, it’s just frustrating. I am so happy to have found your oils! Finally a 100% natural skincare that on top smells amazing!
